About Me

As an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), I provide the gold standard in lactation support. I believe just about every woman can breastfeed if she has the right information and support. Every nursing pair is different, and some situations may provide more of a challenge than others. My objective is to help you achieve your breastfeeding goals, whatever they may be.

I have been a breastfeeding counselor since 2008 and an IBCLC since 2011.  I volunteered with La Leche League for 10 years and am a member of the International Lactation Consultants Association (ILCA) and the United States Lactation Consultants Association (USLCA). I have two daughters who have collectively taught me more about breastfeeding than the large stack of textbooks that sits on my book shelf, though the books were helpful, too! My background is in biology and teaching, and I’m fascinated by the workings of the human body, especially birth and breastfeeding. What I love most about my work is watching women grow into motherhood as they gain confidence in breastfeeding.

Breastfeeding is more than a way to feed your baby. It is a loving relationship between you and your child. I am eager to help you on your journey to a successful breastfeeding relationship.
