Mamas I’ve supported have this to say:

“When my daughter was born 6 weeks premature, I struggled with a low milk supply. During the month she was hospitalized, I regularly met with three different lactation consultants. I received consistent and frequent messages from the hospital staff that my milk supply was inadequate. One of the lactation consultants diagnosed me with Insufficient Glandular Tissue and told me that I would never be able to exclusively breastfeed my daughter. I was devastated, but I decided that I would change my goal to make as much milk as I could for my daughter and supplement with formula when necessary. When she was discharged from the hospital, our pediatrician recommended that I get a second opinion and not give up on my desire to breastfeed. I was skeptical, but I’m so fortunate to have found Vickie! She came to my home and showed genuine care and concern for me and my daughter. Vickie offered me a fresh perspective, new tips, and valuable resources. She assured me that there was nothing wrong with me, and I was probably capable of breastfeeding exclusively. I realized how low my confidence had become from the negative messaging I received during an already emotional and difficult time. I’m so proud to report that I’ve been exclusively breastfeeding my daughter since she was 7 weeks old, and now she’s almost 4 months old! I’m so delighted to be experiencing the connection that most breastfeeding moms feel with their babies when they nurse. I feel so lucky that this has improved so much, because I had already grieved the loss of my breastfeeding relationship with my daughter. I’m so grateful to Vickie for encouraging me to persevere and giving me the confidence and tools to do it!”

I just wanted to send you an update on how the twins are doing…they turned one on Thanksgiving and we are still going strong with breastfeeding. Thanks for your help and encouragement in the early months.”

“Happy to report that breastfeeding is going great, and Lydia is meeting her pediatrician’s weight goals like a champ! I’m so happy and feel so blessed. Looking back at the early trials of it all, it’s so clear to me and my husband that YOU made all the difference. It’s astounding, really, how impactful you were in our lives—and Liddie’s! There just aren’t words to describe what a gift you gave our family.”

I just wanted to say thank you again for all of your encouragement and tips! I really appreciated it so much. It came at a very timely moment! I was feeling defeated and ready to quit. I have started pumping again, and have had more support lately from friends and family. My supply is back up again! I hope to continue to increase it using your ideas as well as continuing to reference the Making More Milk book. Thank you so much 🙂 I will read your words over and over. they mean so much!”

“Thank you so much, Vickie! Things are going great, no latch issues whatsoever and Hazel continues to be a great baby. All of your advice really helped and I feel a lot more comfortable and confident as a result.”

” The breastfeeding class was exactly what we were hoping for – thank you so much!”
